André Augé
Senior Data Scientist, Rio Tinto, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, France
André Augé holds an M.Sc degree in chemical engineering from Chimie Paris Tech and also has degrees in statistics and data science. He has been working in aluminium industry for 35 years in R&D and on industrial sites as a process engineer and department manager. He is now in charge of statistical studies and follow-up of the Rio Tinto aluminium smelters. Augé also supports R&D engineers in their use of statistics and JMP; he has led the French JMP users group since 2017. He uses JMP Pro on a daily basis to overcome challenges and meet his objectives.

Lene Bjørg Cesar
Senior Manager, Novozymes A/S, Bagsværd, Denmark
Lene Bjørg Cesar is Science Manager at Novozymes in Bagsvaerd, Denmark. She holds a master’s degree in applied statistics from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). I have been at Novozymes since 2004 and I am part of a digitalization team. She particularly enjoys the part of her job that involves understanding, communicating and bridging the intersection of wet lab work, DOE and applied statistics. Cesar is responsible for statistical workshops for scientists and technicians that focus on customized subject-matter solutions in terms of DOEs and statistical approaches; she uses JMP for this training. She has also headed up projects creating complex JMP add-ins that spread the use of advanced statistics to the many JMP users at Novozymes. In general, Cesar supports colleagues in their use of JMP to help them gain better insights to their applications.

Frank Deruyck

Frank Deruyck is Six Sigma Black Belt with more than 20 years experience in industry-leading OPEX projects. He now teaches TQM and chemometrics. He is member of a Centre of Applied Data Science team and principal investigator at the Ghent University Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Pharmaceutical Engineering & Manufacturing.

Pilar Gomez Jimenez
Principal Scientist, Johnson Matthey
Pilar Gomez-Jimenez works as a principal scientist in the speciality chemical company Johnson Matthey. She has a master’s degree and a PhD in chemical engineering, and she has been working in research and development of catalysts and materials for 17 years. She is enthusiastic about the application of DOE in this process and of the DOE mindset. She advocates that every scientist and engineer can apply DOE and advanced data analytics thanks to JMP, given that a practical understanding of the tools is the only requirement (which can be acquired with support and practice). Her passion for DOE has led her to work closely with JMP representatives to extend the use of DOE and advanced data analytics by training and supporting users as they develop methods within Johnson Matthey.

Victor Guiller
Scientific Expertise Engineer, in Research & Innovation, L’Oréal.
Victor GUILLER works as Scientific Expertise Engineer, in Research & Innovation from L’Oréal. He holds an Engineering degree in chemical formulation from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille (ENSCL), where he first learned about Design of Experiments and its applications in chemistry. After having worked at FUCHS for 6 years where he uses and advises colleagues about the use of DoE and data analysis, he joined L’Oréal in 2021 in the “Data & Analytics” team to continue learning and applying statistical methods to chemistry. Passionate by data science and chemistry, his goal is to combine domain expertise, design of experiments and data analysis to help laboratories leverage their historical data, plan efficiently their next experiments, make better decisions and unravel some of the mysteries of chemistry. Data-driven and rational thinker, he’s willing to share his passion and help making data literacy available to everyone.

Sebastian Hoffmeister

Sebastian Hoffmeister has been with Roche Diagnostics in Munich since 2017 and is currently the Group Leader in Biostatistics. He studied statistics at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and was a Statistics Trainer at Statcon for eight years before joining Roche.

Christel Kronig
Senior Analytical Scientist, Dr Reddy's Laboratories
Christel Kronig is a Senior analytical scientist and team leader at Dr Reddy’s laboratories R&D centre in Cambridge, UK. Christel became a JMP practitioner 17 years ago and has been using JMP throughout her career to support both development and manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Her current role includes providing support to other scientists with Design of Experiments and modelling, as well as visualisation of data and understanding of analytical error. Christel is also an experienced trainer, having delivered internal workshops on specific areas of JMP over the last 10 years.

Katharina Lankers, Phd
R&D Scientist at SCHOTT AG
Katharina Lankers, PhD, is an R&D Scientist at SCHOTT AG, a technology-based company developing and manufacturing specialty materials, components and systems.
She studied mathematics and physics in Bonn, Stuttgart and Novosibirsk and received her PhD in applied mathematics from the University of Stuttgart. Since 1998 she has been working in the R&D department at SCHOTT, focusing mainly on data-based modeling of production processes. With several years of JSL experience she develops customized JMP applications and applies data mining methods to a variety of manufacturing problems. Moreover, she enjoys teaching JMP courses for the corporate training program.

Maria Lanzerath
Statistician, W. L. Gore & Associates
Maria Lanzerath leads a global team of statisticians at W.L. Gore, working with scientists and engineers to ensure that statistics is embedded throughout the manufacturing process. She has been an industrial statistician with the company since 1997, providing expertise in designed experiments, statistical process control and data-driven decision making. Lanzerath led the development of a companywide DOE training class for hundreds of engineers and scientists in the US, Germany, Japan and China. Before joining Gore, Lanzerath studied statistics at the Ludwigs-Maximilians University in Munich and worked for three years as a data manager and SAS programmer for a Japanese pharmaceutical company.

Zhiwu Liang
Principal Statistician, Procter & Gamble, Strombeek-Bever, Belgium
Zhiwu Liang is a Principal Statistician at Procter & Gamble’s Innovation Center in Brussels. He has been working at P&G for 21 years. His focus is conjoint analysis and MaxDiff methods for consumer tests, advanced design of experiments for process and formulation analysis, SEM and PLS path models for driver analysis, and prediction models for consumer preference and image analysis. He got his PhD in mathematical demography at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 2000 and a master’s degree in statistics at Peking University in China in 1991.

John Linden
Research Physicist, KLA
John Linden is an experienced research physicist with a demonstrated history of working in the electronic manufacturing industry. Skilled in developing concepts from initial simulations to full prototypes, in the fields of laser-matter interactions, imaging, and electromagnetic devices. Also, an expert in data exploration and analysis guiding various teams toward their data-driven goals.
Currently, John is completing a Ph.D. focused on Laser and Optical Engineering from Bar-Ilan University alongside his R&D work at KLA.

Florent Mathieu
Process R&D Engineer, Michelin
Florent Mathieu is Process R&D Engineer at Michelin. After studying chemical engineering at the Lyon School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (CPE Lyon), he was awarded a PhD in Process Engineering from the National Higher Institute of Chemical Industries (ENSIC, Université de Nancy). His thesis was on a process intensification strategy based on non-linear experimental designs. Before joining Michelin, Florent has been R&D and Process Engineer at Processium and served as Process Development Engineer at EryPharm where he worked on developing a process for the synthesis of artificial red blood cells.

Dr. Somaieh Mohammadi
Staff Scientist, Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Billingham, United Kingdom
Somaieh Mohammadi received her PhD in chemical engineering from Newcastle University and has one year of post-doctoral research experience working in the Newcastle Process Intensification group. She joined Fujifilm in 2015 as a Process Statistician in Process Design and has been part of Data Science since 2019. Mohammadi develops and applies computational tools and applications to support process characterisation and optimisation in early/late stage development. She supports functions in FDBK and other FDB locations in design of experiments, data analysis as well as data visualisation. Mohammadi is also interested in the application of chemical engineering principles in development and manufacturing. She uses a variety of modelling and simulation tools and techniques related to fluid flows such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to help solve problems and develop new approaches to scaling.

Malcolm Moore

Malcom works with clients to integrate statistical methods and software into R&D, Engineering, and quality improvement functions for a variety of industries. Prior to joining SAS he worked in academia, agriculture, pharmaceutical, and software industries. He likes helping scientists and engineers make better decisions from their data, and is an expert in design of experiments having received his Ph.D. in Design of Non-Linear Experiments from London University.

Francisco Navarro
Training Lead, Senior Data Scientist, and Researcher, Imperial College London
For the past five years, Navarro has led the application of AI/ML in manufacturing, where process engineers use industrial data science to troubleshoot and optimize their processes. Francisco focuses on scaling up the impact of ML through data-driven literacy and democratization. He has a degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in modelling and simulation.

Søren Pehrson is a chemical engineer and Six Sigma black Belt with over 20 years’ experience upscaling chemical manufacturing unit operations. Pehrson runs Six Sigma optimization and design for Quality projects and teach colleagues in applied statistics and DOE. JMP and JMP Pro user since 2013.

Aziza Yormirzaeva, Global Innovation Sr. Non-Clinical Statistician/Data Analytics Lead/SixSigma Green Belt/Project Manager/JMP Coordinator at Boehringer Ingelheim (currently) & Corning Incorporated (past), Germany. In my role I solve industrial, R&D problems by extracting insights from data using scientific approaches applying Statistics, Advanced Data Analytics, Design of Experiments (DoE) and many other concepts. I am a data analytics evangelist who aims to make innovative transformations within organizations by accelerating Digital Transformation, applications of Advanced Data Analytics and upskilling Data Literacy in order to reach analytical excellence. I love working with people of diverse backgrounds, create a win-win situations by bringing all parties together, building partnerships and make significant impact and improvements in the organizations. I enjoy sharing knowledge have a 5 years of experience of teaching Statistics, Data Analysis, DoE, Process Capability/Stability Analysis and other related topics with JMP.
