    Mark has been a JMP instructor since 1998. He applied statistics and Six Sigma methods to industrial R&D in new business ventures for 16 years before teaching for SAS Education. He holds a doctoral degree in chemistry from the University of Rochester.

    Senior Systems Scientist, IDEXX Laboratories

    Nathan Clark has 14 years of experience in research and development of veterinary diagnostic products. Starting with JMP 5, Clark has grown with the software and is now responsible for mining data in several locations and developing innovative analysis methods to decipher the story contained in the data. His focus is on the functional breakdowns of biological and engineering systems and merging that data together for a complete system understanding. Clark guides R&D teams for optimized visual analytics and uses JSL to create software tools for streamlining analyses.

  • Tanya Davis, steering committee

    Tanya Davis

    Senior Statistician, Zoetis

    Tanya Davis has worked in the human and animal pharmaceutical industry for 15 years, currently as a senior statistician in the Zoetis Veterinary Medicine Research and Development (VMRD) Biometric group. She supports the development of diagnostic testing, pharmaceutical science and formulation, and biopharma. Davis started working in JMP 9. She uses JMP to design experiments that support the Zoetis VMRD Quality by Design initiative and has used custom DOE for pharmaceutical process and materials for 8 years. Davis wrote JSL scripts to automate calculations from ASTM2709/ASTM 2810 content uniformity/blend uniformity and dissolution to predict the probability of passing stage testing. She has been charged with implementing stability analysis with VICH guidelines. Davis also trains employees in JMP. Her favorite platforms are Custom Design and Graph Builder for data visualization.

    Ted Ellefson

    Principal Engineer, Seagate Technology 

    Ted Ellefson has 23 years of experience in R&D, specifically the recording heads division of Seagate Technology. He has used JMP throughout his career to design and analyze experimental data. Ellefson conducts Six Sigma and statistical analysis classes in his role as a Master Black Belt. He first started analyzing maintenance data as an executive officer in the United States Army, but it wasn't until he joined Seagate that he discovered the power of JMP to explore, understand and communicate information with ease. Ellefson has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas and a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.

    Brad Foulkes

    Senior Staff Data Analytics Scientist, GE Renewables

    Brad Foulkes works on predictive and prescriptive analytics for power plant equipment. He has worked in several businesses across General Electric, including aircraft engines, circuit breakers, motors and gas turbines, and has held several roles, including design engineer, DFSS Black Belt and reliability engineer. He is a daily user of JMP and JMP Pro, regularly employing the Reliability platform and several other modeling platforms, as well as using JSL to develop tools that help his team. In 2016, he was a founding member of the Upstate JMP Users Group in South Carolina.

  • Sarah Gilyard, steering committee

    Sarah Gilyard

    Statistician, Micron

    Sarah Gilyard is an in-house consultant at Micron Technology. She provides statistical support to engineers and other semiconductor professionals, mostly in the areas of experiment design, predictive modeling, visualization and data mining. In addition to consulting, Gilyard also teaches several statistics courses for engineers and technicians covering introductory statistics and design of experiments. Gilyard began using JMP when she joined Micron in 2014 and relies heavily on JMP Pro in her current role. She is a strong advocate for enhancing JMP usage amongst the technicians and engineers at her company.

    Matt Kedzierski

    Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Chemical Engineer, Aera Energy

    Matt Kedzierski mentors, teaches and leads engineers and technicians who perform data analytics and Six Sigma improvement projects. He has 25 years of experience in the upstream petroleum industry. A JMP user since 2008, Kedzierski focuses on reliability, descriptive modeling, predictive modeling, DOE and statistics. He has a BS in chemical engineering and earned his Master Black Belt in 2012.

    Fuding Lin

    Master’s Industrial Internship Program, University of Oregon

    As Manager of the Photovoltaic and Semiconductor Track, Fuding Lin helps students launch successful careers in the semiconductor, optics and polymer industries, specifically by teaching design of experiments. Lin started using JMP when evaluating different software platforms for DOE instruction and has been a strong advocate for JMP ever since. He now uses JMP Pro extensively to help students learn statistical concepts and SPC, and how to design experiments and analyze data. He enjoys exploring the capabilities in JMP for data visualization, consumer research, predictive modeling and scripting.

    Patricia Dianne McNeill

    Associate Director of Cell Culture Development, Lundbeck

    Patricia McNeill leads a team in designing and evaluating fermentation and cell culture experiments for the production of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. She uses JMP to identify conditions that increase antibody yield and quality, as well as to characterize stable and robust process conditions. McNeill began her JMP experience with version 7 and has since been instrumental in establishing JMP adoption across several departments. Her favorite JMP platforms are Graph Builder for visualizing data and definitive screening designs. McNeill has over 28 years of industrial biotechnology experience.

    CTO, Soap Health

    Tom Mercier has more than 25 years of experience taking products from concept to market. Mercier has dedicated his career to building cohesive, high-caliber engineering teams and developing first-to-market, one-of-a-kind products. He has expertise in conversational AI, data science, engineering management and new product introduction. Before joining Soap Health, Mercier was Director of Process Engineering at Magic Leap, where he led development of the company’s most successful product. From semiconductors and optics to mixed reality, he has held various key positions at Atmel, Vitesse, Qorvo, Digital Optics and FLIR.

    Trish Roth

    Principal Scientist, Abbott Laboratories

    Trish Roth is a molecular immunologist turned data scientist with 22 years of experience in technical support for diagnostic products. She manages a statistical process control program for diagnostic product manufacturing at Abbott Laboratories. Roth helps lead a JMP user group, providing training and guidance on the use of JMP in improvement projects and investigations across the operations and quality organizations. She also runs JMP boot camps to help new users get up to speed on JMP basics and more effectively tell a data story through visuals and graphics. Her JMP journey started with version 5, and she’s been known apply her enthusiasm for JMP to organizing and managing middle school track meets.

    Susan Roweton

    Research Manager, Minimally Invasive Therapies Group, Medtronic

    Susan Roweton is responsible for continuous improvement of testing and data analysis methods for the Tissue Effect Research team, using JMP to visualize, mine and model critical performance data for energy-based vessel sealing devices. She facilitated the use of JMP by all Tissue Effect Research scientists and engineers for comprehensive analysis of data for regulatory submissions. Prior to her current role at Medtronic, Roweton was Manager of the Technology Development at Covidien Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions. She has 18 years of industrial experience in medical device research and development.

    Daniel Valente

    Manager, JMP Product Management, SAS

    Daniel Valente defines product requirements and helps communicate product information to prospects and users. Before joining SAS, he completed an NIH post-doctoral fellowship at the Boys Town National Research Hospital. Valente holds a PhD in architectural sciences from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has been a longtime JMP user.

    AI / Machine Learning Technology Manager, Eastman

    Kevin White leads a team of machine learning engineers who provide advanced analytics solutions across a range of business problems at Eastman, a global specialty materials company that produces a broad range of products found in items people use every day. White is an ASQ Fellow and a past chair of the ASQ Chemical and Process Industries Division. His JMP experience began with a student version over 25 years ago at the University of Tennessee, where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in statistics.

    Cameron Willden

    Statistician, W.L. Gore

    Cameron Willden supports engineers and scientists across many different product lines at W.L. Gore, focusing on manufacturing and new product development. Willden has developed different JMP and SAS tools and applications for broad usage across the company, and has taught a variety of courses at Gore, covering introductory statistics, design of experiments, statistical process control, sampling plans and measurement systems analysis. He is an active member of the JMP User Community, where he enjoys interacting with other users and helping them learn to use JMP more effectively. He began using JMP with version 9 as a graduate student.
