What Is Discovery Summit?

Before 2020, Discovery Summit was our in-person series of conferences that brought statistically minded people together to tackle the challenge of improving how data are explored, analyzed and shared.

The only difference now is that it’s online. We figured out how to make online paper presentations interactive, how to keep keynotes engaging, how to facilitate sharing and connecting in a virtual environment.

We also learned just how many more JMP users and data explorers we can reach online than in person. In the spirit of democratizing data exploration best practices, Discovery Summits will remain online.

In some regions, where demand is high and risk of gathering is low, we’ll also host an in-person Special Segment. Designed to supplement the online Discovery Summits, these events will facilitate statistical conversations between scientists and engineers, professors and students, statisticians and other data explorers alike.
